Crafts DIY Sorority

DIY Craft Ideas

Happy Saturday everyone! I’ve been so busy lately I feel like I haven’t posted in way too long! My family is moving and I am moving into my sorority here next week so needless to say it’s been crazy packing around here.

Besides working and packing, I’ve been crafting for my sorority.  This year I will be getting a little sister and so I’ve been Pinterest hunting and decided to get a head start on making gifts for her {lol at the fact that I don’t even know who she is yet, but that’s okay :p}.  Basically, little week is my favorite week at our sorority – we get a little sister and we give hints and shower them with gifts throughout the week.  At the end of the week we have the “big little reveal” and our littles find out who we are! It’s a lot of fun.

Anyway, here is what I crafted this week {with a tutorial on the Nebraska piece}:

Over the four and half years I’ve been dating I have kept almost all the flowers he has ever given me {even from the corsage he gave me from our first homecoming dance together freshman year of high school}.  The only thing is that all those dried flowers were taking up a lot of room on my shelves.  So I tried to come up with a way to keep the flowers and use them as a decoration piece.  After some inspiring pinterest ideas, I came up with placing the petals in a mason jar. I really like it and it’s a lot more space efficient.

All of these projects were very reasonable.  I got the two canvas’s for $6, had paint laying around this house, and the mason jar was $2.  Just took about an hour to an hour and a half to finish them πŸ™‚

I also changed the look of Happy Healthy Vibes and I really like it a lot better – I think it expresses more of my favorite colors and my love for design on photoshop.  What do you think? πŸ™‚

What do ya’ll think? Do you guys have any helpful tips for moving/packing? It’s such a stressful process!

Update:  I recently developed another keloid on my cartilage piercing, check out my Tea Tree Oil post here to see how amazing the oil is and that it actually works!

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend lovelies!

You are quite the crafty lady. Mine would never turn out that good. I just thank the lord for Etsy haha! Good luck w/ moving. It’s hard to give tips as everyone does it dfferent, but something I’ve learned over our million moves is don’t stress yourself out about it. That’ll get you no where.

Thank you! And that’s definitely great advice, it’s such a stressful time but it’s so important to not become too overwhelmed and stay calm!
